Jennifer Githu currently serves as the Anti-corruption programs coordinator for UNODC’s Regional Office for Eastern Africa. She is a passionate and innovative professional whose work revolves around good governance, anti-corruption, digitalization, and youth. She holds a Bachelor of Law’s degree from the University of Nairobi. At UNODC, she has led and supported the implementation of global, regional and national projects including the Global Integrity Education Project in Kenya, the East African Youth Blockchain Hackathon, the African Young Parliamentarians Projects and the Anti-corruption component of the Programme for Legal Empowerment and Aid Delivery.
Prior to UNODC, she served in various capacities in Kenya’s Ministry of Youth and Ministry of Devolution. Jennifer started her career volunteering with and researching with various organizations such as UNDP, UNCTAD, Konrad Adenuer Stiftung Foundation and the International Commissions of Jurists (ICJ-Kenya). She was also the youngest delegate selected to represent Kenya at the African and Arab World Youth Forum (WYF). Jennifer is also an East African Uongozi (Leadership) Institute Fellow supported by Ford Foundation. At the University of Nairobi, she served as the Secretary General of the Women Students Welfare Association (WOSWA) and the Editor-In-Chief of the University of Nairobi Law Journal.
