Sebastián Ramos is the Secretary of the Global Compact Uruguay. He is an attorney, banking and finance partner at FERRERE and co-director of the ESG practice.
Within the firm, he is a member of FERRERE TRANSFORMA, the firm’s sustainability group, which designs and carries out the firm’s ESG agenda.
Sebastián has advised multilaterals, funds and financial institutions on the financing of dozens of infrastructure and energy projects in the public and private sectors, including EPC, PPP and concession contracts.
He teaches Contracts, Contract Drafting and M&A at Universidad de Montevideo.
Ramos studied Law at Universidad de Montevideo (Uruguay) and earned an LL.M. at the University of Chicago Law School.
He is the Secretary to the Global Compact Uruguay, and sits on the Board of Directors of Quebracho, an NGO that works with prisoners.
He is highlighted by several international publications (Chambers, The Legal 500, IFLR) in the areas of Projects and Energy and Banking and Finance.
