Gabriela Ocampo, Senior Manager for Governance and Anti-Corruption, United Nations Global Compact
Gabriela Ocampo is the Senior Manager for Governance and Anti-Corruption at the United Nations Global Compact headquarters. In her role, she spearheads initiatives with companies to promote business integrity and anti-corruption practices, including through transformational governance—an integrated and broader approach to corporate governance. Additionally, she has executed multiple strategic alliances with different United Nations entities and governments to advance corporate action on the UNGC Ten Principles and the SDGs.
Previously, Gabriela was a Sustainable Development Adviser at the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the UN in New York, representing Mexico in the negotiations for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. She also acted as lead negotiator for multiple resolutions on economic, social, and political matters.
Her legal career in Mexico encompassed international, tax, and corporate law across several renowned law firms. Gabriela holds a master's degree in Sustainable International Development Law from the University of Washington and a master's degree in Corporate and Tax Law from Universidad Panamericana. She is a graduate of Universidad Anáhuac Law School in Mexico.
